Vumatel Vumatel Johannesburg region down

Vumatel Johannesburg is down currently. We are investigating.

  • Services are restored. We will continue to monitor the situation.

  • Vumatel is down again. AEX and Vumatel are aware of the issue.

  • The issue has been resolved in Johannesburg, all Vumatel GPON and Active Ethernet clients are up.

    Automation Exchange have warned that the service may go down again while DFA applies permanent fixes.

  • AEX have restored service. We are monitoring it.

    AEX identified the issue as being an issue on 2 DFA routes between Dunkeld and Senderwood. We have been warned that it might reoccur while DFA resolve it.

  • Issue has reoccurred at AEX. They are aware of and working on the problem.

  • AEX has restored the service to Vumatel.

    We will continue monitoring it carefully.

  • Issue has been identified as being at Automation Exchange, that deliver the connections from the Vumatel to the ISP's.

    Automation Exchange is investigating.

    SA Digital Villages SADV Notification: | Technical Difficulties | Sandton

    Our back-haul service provider has been notified to investigate.

  • Please note that services have now been restored.

    We apologize for the inconvenience caused and thank you for your patience and understanding.

  • The DFA Techs located fibre damaged at Corner of Pretoria Main Road & Arkwright Avenue, Handle GH000134 and GH000133 on route G01P14. Fibre was damaged due to vandalism.

    The DFA Techs have completed assessing the damage and they are currently pulling a slack.

    Please see above images of the damaged fibres cables and ducts. We will keep you updated with information as we receive it.

  • Teraco Isando CH-4_2 and Teraco Isando Core-1 to Rivonia is observed to be down by the DFA team.

    DFA technicians have been informed and dispatched to go-to site and test, ETA is to follow.

  • The DFA technicians arrived at site, tested from Aggr_Teraco_Gauteng received a disconnection of 24.211km on fibre 2 & 24.208km on fibre 1 . The full distance of this link is 35.951KM.
